Technology has afforded us to make our everyday lives easier. We no longer have to wait for days to communicate with our friends and relatives who are on the other side of the world. We can go shopping for things we want without having to get up from our seats in front of our computer. All these things and more cannot be possible without the people behind these innovations in technology, particularly the women who run these tech giants to make access to the world a lot easier for everyone.

Women have become involved in the field of technology in the past several decades and have spearheaded their companies to the top of the competition. Women are no longer just considered inferior to men. They are no longer confined in the home to cook, clean and take care of the family. Women have come out of their shells and have excelled and are still excelling in their chosen fields.

Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo and Google Maps are just some of the giant tech companies that are steered by women. Imagine these sites are used by billions of people around the world to make their life a lot more convenient and enjoyable and they are run by women. They have proven that women can penetrate the world usually dominated by men. Gender is no longer a deterrent in conquering dreams and excelling in whatever endeavor one chooses to run after.
