At Tuesday's meeting we decided on the name for our robot! The name chosen was "Eve" as in the robot Eve from the movie Wall-e! A new system for keeping track of how much each girl contributes was presented at the meeting as well. Rather than girls focusing on coming a certain number of hours each week, a point system was made. It's day 3 of build season and there is so much to do! On Saturday after the kick off video, we all reconvened to decide what our main focus would be, but it turned out to be a tie.  It was between focusing on shooting or climbing.  We took another vote and shooting won by one point! The whole auditorium was buzzing with excitement even at 8:30 AM on Saturday, January 5, the morning of the FRC kick off for 2013.  There were just a few people who were still trying to wake up with some coffee and donuts graciously provided by some volunteers from different Pittsburgh teams. For the Girls of Steel, preseason meetings are over. Now all that is left to do is count down until kick-off, which is at 10:30 am on January 5th. That means only 17 and a half more days!!!
