The Girls of Steel Robotics Team actively fundraises throughout the year in order to meet our expenses.   Any amount you can provide will help!

FUNDRAISING

Our fall 2022 Crowdfunding Campaign at CMU!

Our 2022 crowdfunding campaign is over! This year we raised $12837 from hundreds of amazing donors! The funds raised will help us with purchasing robot parts for the upcoming FIRST Robotics Competition season which kicks off on January 7, 2023.    Additional contributions can be made here! If you missed our crowdfunding video, it’s still available to view at this site: https://givingcmuday.cmu.edu/campaigns/stu-2022-girls-of-steel-robotics

Thank you for your support!

Thank you!

Other ways you can help

We always have expenses related to building the robot for competition and running outreach. For example a roboRIO (like the “brain” of the robot) costs us approximately $435, and we used two for the two new updated chassis project workshop kits.   Usually the first FIRST Robotics Competition regional registration fee is $6000 and the fee for the second regional is $3000; we usually attend two regionals per year: The Greater Pittsburgh Regional at a venue in or near Pittsburgh and another competition in Ohio.
In addition to funds for the usual registration fees and robot materials, when we travel to competitions, we need funds for mentor travel, cargo van rental, and more.  Again, any amount you are able to provide helps!
We are meeting in person for both tech meetings and business meetings.

Thank you!

Love what you are doing. Any chance I could purchase a tee-shirt of your Rosie the Riveter” with the pumped up robot arm and make a donation at the same time? Keep up the great work!
