Good Afternoon,
My name is Laura Henne and I’ve been a computer science educator for about twelve years now, with a focus on encouraging young women to enter into STEM fields. Together with a group of students, we’ve been working on a community outreach project where the students are doing their own research on women in Computer Science and Engineering, and I thought you might enjoy hearing that one of our newest members, Julia, came across your resource page https://girlsofsteelrobotics.com/resources/helpful-stem-links/ and was excited to show me what she had found as a resource for her project.
I also wanted to make a suggestion for an addition to your page: https://online.stevens.edu/info/famous-women-in-computer-science/ It’s a resource that adds great historical context about the pioneering women in STEM fields such as computer science. Would you be willing to add this to your website? It was because of the help your page provided me and Julia that she was able to get interested in reading on her own and do some research. Thanks again!
Best,
Laura Henne
