Realizing Rose’s Rules
On Thursday, November 4th, we had guest speaker Ms. Roseanne Silva talk at our Business All-Hands Meeting. She is a SVP and Business Chief Technology Officer at PNC Bank. She talked about her responsibility of delivering technology infrastructure and her involvement with cybersecurity and fraud prevention. She is a Carnegie Mellon University alumna, recipient of a 2019 Alumni Award, a community volunteer, and  also one of our amazing donors!

We enjoyed learning from her presentation about her role at PNC and her experiences that led her to where she is today. She described her career journey, starting with her early passion for problem-solving; she went on to develop programming/engineering skills, complete multiple internships, and gain industry knowledge. Silva introduced some recent technology developments at PNC in automation, software, cloud tech, and machine learning/AI.

Lastly, she concluded with some important tips to help guide us in making informed decisions for our future; she says to be coachable, be inclusive in everything you do or create, and take the best of your job and make the most of it. Her talk was informative and empowering, and we thank her for spending time to share her experiences with us!
